Abject Icons: Trinity, Marginality, Transformation

This work is the outcome of an MA by Project at The School of Art, Architecture and Design (formerly The Cass) at London Metropolitan University. 

​

My quest was to create objects that facilitate connection with the divine, and that challenge the patriarchal and hierarchical representations of the Christian tradition. I used the idea of ‘the Abject’ as described by French feminist Julia Kristeva as a way of approaching this.
